KIRK REBER

Executive Director

Kirk has over 20 years of experience in non-profit and ministry work where he has enjoyed being involved in multiple communities and settings including hospital, youth shelter, rescue mission, church, and community center. His experience includes the role as a teacher, mental health counselor, director and international worker. Most recently Kirk and his wife, Valisha, served overseas in the Independent Republic of Georgia as missionaries with their three daughters.

In addition, he has a BS from IPFW; an MS from University of Nebraska at Omaha and has seminary training from the Alliance Theological Seminary.

Kirk enjoys hiking and playing games with his family. They attend Westview Alliance Church in Fort Wayne.

 

 




 


Lisa B

LISA BARTELHEIM, LMHC

Clinical Director

Lisa Bartelheim is a licensed mental health counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana–Purdue University–Fort Wayne. Following that, she earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling with a minor in Spiritual Direction at Huntington University.

Lisa has previously worked with adults, ages 18 and older suffering from depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and substance use disorders.

Prior to that, much of Lisa’s work has been with court-ordered clients – substance abuse, anger management, and theft intervention. Lisa also has worked with a number of families involved with the department of children’s services (DCS). Lisa has previous experience working with children - providing play therapy. Lisa is certified in QPR, which is practical and proven suicide prevention.

Lisa is extremely passionate about seeing the growth of others and helping to lead them to their fullest potential with the divine work of the Holy Spirit integrated in the sessions. Lisa is trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Treatment), and has a passion for working with those struggling with anxiety, panic, PTSD, and OCD.

Along with the central focus of Christ-Centered Biblical counseling, Lisa encourages clients to ensure that their lives are integrated in a healthy and balanced way through the various life domains including social, family, physical (including proper nutrition & exercise), mental, career, personal, and financial.

Office Manager

Sarah began working at Cross Connections February 2024. She is currently at Purdue Fort Wayne working towards her general studies degree.

Sarah delights in attending Emmanuel Lutheran Church and their Bible studies.
