What is biblical counseling?

Biblical counseling is utilizing the power of God to achieve the purposes of God. Biblical counseling provides hope for change through the Bible and the working of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Christian people. For more information, see our biblical counseling section.

How do I become a Cross Connections client?

All Cross Connections clients come to us by pastor referral. That means you will need to talk to your pastor to let him know that you're interested in our biblical counseling services before making an appointment with us. You will then meet with one of our professional counselors for an assessment to determine how we can best help you. To learn more about our unique referral process, click here.

Why do I need to talk to my pastor before I can make an appointment?

At Cross Connections, we view our work as an extension of pastoral care you receive at your church, which is why we partner with your pastor. If you need help negotiating this process, please give us a call.

What if I don't get along with my pastor or would prefer they not know about my situation?

Please call us at (260) 373-0213, ext. 102 to discuss your situation with Gary Younghans, Clinical Director.

What if I don't belong to a church?

You can still get a referral from a pastor even if you are not a member of their congregation. If you do not know any pastors, please call Cross Connections and we will connect you with someone who can talk with you about gaining a pastoral referral.

How long are counseling sessions?

Sessions are generally 45 to 50 minutes in length.

How much does Cross Connections counseling cost?

Professional counseling is a base rate of $100 per regular session. Please call our office for more information regarding cost and insurance.
