Professional Counselor

Elizabeth has extensive experience providing in-patient care to emergent and residential patients in psychiatric hospital settings and possesses a passion for working with children and adolescents.

As an undergraduate at Valparaiso University she double-majored in psychology and theology and went on to earn a master's degree in counseling from the same institution as well.

After devoting several years to raising her family, Elizabeth joined Cross Connections as a counselor in the beginning of 2008. She is currently working toward obtaining her license in mental health counseling. She is a member of American Association of Christian Counselors. She works out of the S.W. site located at Southwest Lutheran Church where she also is a member.


Professional Counselor

Gary is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). He has a master's degree in counselor education with a focus on marriage and family counseling from Indiana University. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Purdue University and holds an additional master's degree in public administration from IU. He has also completed training programs in Marriage Mentoring and Prepare/Enrich for couples.

In addition to experience with the Youth Services Bureau and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Gary worked with children and families during his internship at Park Center's Family Education Center.

He is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Counselors and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Gary's office is at Augustine Hall at the Concordia Theological Seminary. He and his family are members of Aboite Lutheran Church.


Professional Counselor

Amy has been a counselor specializing in family relationships with children and adults for over 20 years. She earned a bachelor's degree from St. Francis University and a master's degree from the University of Michigan, both in Social Work. She is currently enrolled in the M.A. in Deaconess Studies at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne.

Amy is a member of the North American Association of Christians in Social Work, the American Association of Christian Counselors and the regional Fellowship of Christian Counselors. Amy is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.

Professional Counselor

Belinda has a master's degree in counselor education with a focus on marriage and family therapy from Indiana University Fort Wayne. She also holds a bachelor's degree in human services from Purdue University Fort Wayne and is an instructor in the Human Services program at Ivy Tech.

Prior to joining the Cross Connections staff as a professional counselor, Belinda completed the inaugural 18-month covenant partner training and was commissioned in March of 2008.

Belinda is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Counselors and American Association of Christian Counselors. She is a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.

Vicky-graft VICKI GRAFT

Professional Counselor, Covenant Partner Coordinator

For the past 18 years, Vicki has been a licensed elementary school counselor retiring in 2011. She is experienced in individual, group, classroom and family counseling and, at Andrews, was also in charge of student testing.

Vicki is also a graduate of the first Covenant Partner training class and has been working in the area of emotions. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science degree in Counseling, both from Indiana University.

In July of 2011 Vicki accepted the position of Covenant Partner Coordinator. She and Amy Rast are responsible for supervising and teaching Cross Connections Lay Counselors.

She is a member of the Indiana School Counselors Association and American Association of Christian Counselors. Vicki is also a member of Southwest Lutheran Church.





Professional Counselor

Bob has a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. As part of his master's level work he worked as a therapist (intern) at Park Center; a community mental health center. He also has a Master's Degree in Theology from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne and has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Hillsdale College located in Hillsdale, Michigan.

Bob also serves at Cross Connections as a member of the Development Task Force.

Bob is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Counselors, American Association of Christian Counselors and American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is also a member of Aboite Lutheran Church.

Don Luedke


Professional Counselor

Don has a bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. Prior to receiving his Master’s, Don spent 2 years in seminary, one year at Concordia, Fort Wayne and the other year at Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana.

Don’s clinical internship was conducted at the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission as a counselor. He also volunteers at the Allen County Jail in Fort Wayne as a “Life Skills” trainer. Don is a Viet Nam era veteran and has experience working with military members and their families.

Professional memberships are with the American Mental Health Association (AMHCA) and Fellowship of Christian Counselors (FCC) in northeastern Indiana.

Don came to Fort Wayne in 2007 from central Minnesota where he worked in corporate sales and management for 20 years. He is a member of First Assembly of God in Fort Wayne.


 Jarred Bauer


Professional Counselor


Jarred has a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University and is an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church. Jarred received his Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Huntington University. He has ministered to youth and families at White's Residential & Family Services and through Wabash Friends satellite site Taylor Chapel Counseling Center.

Jarred loves to help others change and grow in life and in their walk with Christ. He currently serves as a Home-Based Therapist for Park Center in Fort Wayne and joined Cross Connections in April 2013 as a counselor working out of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Huntington.


 Lori Horstmeyer-Grubb


Professional Counselor

Lori Horstmeyer-Grubb, LMHC, BCPC received her Masters in Human Development Counseling from Saint Louis University. Her education focused on the entire life span of human development with a concentrated understanding on childhood and adolescent development. She obtained her License in Mental Health Counseling and became a Board Certified Professional Counselor. 

In 2005, she spent 40 plus hours in continuing education coursework to be a Certified Trauma and Loss Consultant. This training is a perfect marriage with the childhood education she received.  She has worked as an In Home therapist, in which all referrals came from the Child Protective service. Since that time, she works part time in private practice as well as a contract therapist. Lori uses a holistic, faith based perspective, firmly relying on the wisdom of the ultimate healer, God our Father. She attends Brookside Church.



  Lisa Lessing


Professional Counselor

 Lisa has a Masters degree in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. She previously worked as a licensed professional counselor in St. Louis, Missouri   and as a Lutheran high school counselor. 

She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and The Christian Association for Psychological Studies. Lisa specializes in women’s concerns, grief, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and helping couples to process marital struggles and crisis. As a pastor's wife, she also has a heart for men and women who serve in the ministry and their families.She attends St. Michael Lutheran Church.

 Jill Bulmahn


 Professional Counselor


Jill is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She earned her Master’s degree from Indiana University’s School of Social Work (IUPUI). Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ball State University. While attending Ball State, she served in the United States Army Reserve at the 384th Military Police Battalion in Fort Wayne.

Jill has previously worked with children and families at the Department of Children Services and Park Center. While at Park Center, she provided individual, family, and group therapy before leaving to stay at home to raise her daughter.   She is currently an instructor in the Human Services Department at Ivy Tech.

Jill is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven. She also volunteers at Central Lutheran School.
